Please read these guidelines and tips to help you make the most of your stay on our campsite.
In 2016 we installed a new shower room and toilet for guests who have limited mobility. The room dimensions are: 2.5m x 1.8m. It is accessible by wheelchairs and reached by a wide ramp. From the ramp, go through the Basecamp door (1m wide) and then straight ahead. The washroom contains a shower with a seat and handrail, a toilet, a sink and an emergency call cord. The shower does not have a raised lip. The toilet is 0.5m high and has a handrail. The sink is 0.73m high and has a handrail. You will need to bring your own towels and hairdryer.
Our campers’ room, open daily from 8am to 8pm, is a cosy communal space with a sofa and table, as well as a fridge-freezer unit and microwave. Inside you’ll find lots of local information, such as guides to walks and things to do, and there are second-hand books available for a £1 donation which goes to support The Arran Trust – the organisation that looks after Arran’s beautiful landscapes. The drying room is also located within Basecamp.
We have a small shop in our office that sells:
