About Us

Between us, we have many years of camping and caravanning experience and in 2011 enjoyed our first tour in a camper van. Before we were lucky enough to get the opportunity to live on Arran, we also spent many holidays exploring Scotland, being drawn back yearly by the irresistible pull of its beautiful landscapes.

Our hobbies include hillwalking, climbing, canoeing and sea kayaking.

As active campers ourselves we know that booking a campsite can be worrying. We know that you often just have to cross your fingers and hope it won't be noisy at night; that the toilets will be clean and have loo paper in them, that the showers will be hot enough; that you won't need to find the right coins for the showers/ hairdryers, and that a warden will be available  should a problem arise. As we stay on site throughout the season, using the facilities, we ensure that Lochranza Campsite has the standards which we seek for ourselves when choosing a campsite.

However you travel to Lochranza, be it by motorhome, car, cycle, feet or boat, we aim to make your stay a special event by providing you with a safe, comfortable base in a beautiful and unique environment, as well as lots of ideas and information about things you can see and do during your holiday.

At Lochranza Campsite we offer you:

  • A glorious base in a unique, unspoilt environment for camping, touring caravans or motor-homes
  • A peaceful and relaxing site
  • A well-situated base for adventurous activities including walking, cycling, kayaking and sailing
  • An opportunity to see a rich variety of wildlife at close hand
  • Freedom for children to play and explore
  • A scenic golf course open to all
  • A base in an area rich in history and natural history. Lochranza is famous worldwide for its geology.
